I had recently upgraded my laptop from Vista to Windows 7 Basic. Everything was fine until i opened warcraft which did open, but not in full screen. I tried setting resolutions etc etc but in vain. But then finally i found a way to make it fullscreen, and I want to share this to all of you who have come across this bug.
First go to Start>Run
Type Regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Blizzard Entertainment>Warcraft III>Video
Now comes the slightly tricky part
Right click on reswidth>Modify....click on decimal and change it to 1300>OK
Right click on resheight>Modify>Decimal>900>OK
Close Registry Editor and then Open Warcraft
FULLSCREEN
Tried this and worked, but reverts back again after shut down. Alternative solution from another forum:
ReplyDeleteIn my XP install at least, I went to Control Panel, to the Intel GMA graphics option, went to Display Settings, Aspect Ratio Options, and changed it from "Center Desktop" to "Maintain Aspect Ratio" so my 640x480 games run stretched to 1024x768 now with bars on the left and right. I could also select "Full Screen (No Border)" instead where they will run at the full 1366x768 resolution but of course look very stretched out and ugly due to them being 4:3 games stretched out to 16:9.
